My first unit of study is Life Cycles. I chose this topic because science and social studies are integrated into our first grade curriculum. This text set includes multiple literacies to engage the students in an early elementary classroom while easily teaching the Common Core standards.

What a cool text set! I'm going to have to borrow it for summer school! I love the manipulatives you mentioned because it's visual and they can place them in order. I don't have the Life Cycle Specimen Set but would like to have those as well. Lakeshore always has cool stuff. I liked your choice of books and think a couple is on Bookflix. Great combination of books, media, activities, and videos. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteNice text set Lara! The books you chose will compliment the unit nicely. I love Gail Gibbons books. Your student will enjoy the websites and media options you are providing. You chose well!
ReplyDeleteI like the many manipulatives that you have listed. This would be a great way to add models and demonstrations which would score well on the TEAM evaluations.
